To be eligible for admission, the client should be 17 years of age on 31 July of the current year and an education of 10+2 years or intermediate of science or equivalent with English, biology, physics and chemistry as main subjects and have secured not less than 50% mark and aggregate of 50% over all. The admission Criteria set for the MBBS course in nepal are as follows.
The Candidate must be over 17 years of age, and should have completed 12 years of education with English, Biology Physics and chemistry with min of 50% marks in each subject mentioned as well as in aggregate. The students who have completed BSc. Degree from any recognized universities in any of  the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry or biology with at least one any other science subject mentioned  and must score not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

Selection Procedure:

The selection process for the Nepali candidates is through the Kathmandu University Medical Test (KUMET) , followed by the interview conducted at the Nepal Medical College. For the International students, there will be an interview set by the NMC under the self financing scheme.
Note: The Candidates from India should provide Eligibility Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi along with the application form.

Fee Structure for academic year 2011-2012:
The Nepali candidates have to pay a fee of NRs.3,535,000.00 as a one time payment option and for the Non Nepali the fee is as prescribed below:
Indian students (Citizens of India):  the total fees is Indian Rs. 3,535,000 and for the SAARC students  the total fees is USD  Equivalent to Nepalese Rs. 5,656,000. For the studants from all other countries are about to pay US $ 85,850. (1$ = NRs. 70)

The DD can be from any bank, but the preferance is given to The State bank of India DD for students from India as the Bank has branch both Kathmandu and Pokhara.
