Its a huge institution which provides 4 certified programs, 11 bachelor level programs around 26 master degree programs and 4 programs in Mch. (Master of Chirurgie). Institute Of Medicine, Tribhuvan University has already started the process of starting DM (Doctor of Medicine), postgraduate programs in dental subjects, PhD program in nursing and microbiology too.

Maharajgunj Medical Campus at Maharajgunj is one among the nine Campuses of Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. The campus was an auxiliary health worker’s school until 1972 and then upgraded to the medical college campus. After the up gradation, the campus played a great role in developing professionals in different health worker programs. The establishment of Tribhuvan Hospital Teaching Hospital in the year of 1983, changed the face value of the campus and the campus become one of the popular places where medical education become more economic as well as detail oriented. Maharajgunj Medical Campus has already started to impart educational programs in the tertiary level professional educations so that the value of the college is shouted up again.
