Kathmandu University-School of Medical Science launched the MBBS program in the year of 2001 and the institute has its building set up at two different locations. Basic sciences building at a hilltop at Chaukot, Panauti Municipality-1 and the teaching hospital is situated at Dhulikhel. The unique feature is, the both locations are straightforwardly accessed from the University of Kathmandu the basic science department is well-found with a vast access to the laboratories and lecture halls with enough class rooms and facilities.

MBBS Course Details:

In The Kathmandu University-School of Medical Science, the MBBS course is accompanied by isolating the total sequence into two main segments which are Pre-Clinical and Clinical. The pre-clinical section shelters the first two years of the instruction in which the university education for the basic life science subjects comprising Anatomy and physiology, community medicine and micro-biology is covered. The clinical Phase is fully furnished with the provision of clinical exposures to the students and it gives enormous environment for the student to engage with the patients and public. After the successful completion of these two portions in the first four and a half year duration, the student has to undergo compulsory one year internship and then the MBBS degree is being awarded.
